Cheil Media is building the next generation of Agency Trading Desk to serve our growing global network of media buyers. Our mission is to automate redundant workflows and empower our teams to execute media buys across multiple channels from a single point of entry.
About the Role
We are seeking a Golang Engineer to help us build and maintain our next generation advertising stack at Cheil. In this role, you will be part of a pivotal project as we transform the way media is purchased at Cheil. As a global company we face unique challenges when handling data and require an individual who is familiar with relevant privacy laws and has experience implementing processes and infrastructure with this in mind. You will be part of the foundational team at Cheil as we develop applications designed to empower our media buyers and planners in executing client campaigns. The ideal candidate will have solid software development experience with extensive knowledge of advertising infrastructure. Candidates should be familiar with various concepts relating to APIs such as OAUTH, REST, and CRUD. This role will report directly to the Head of Media Product.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop the backend API system for our React application.
  • Integrate with 3rd party API systems in both read/write capacities.
  • Work closely with non-engineering teams to understand the importance of features and end usages.
  • Develop various microservices within the larger distributed software system.
  • Write clear documentation as well as unit tests to ensure code reliability and ease of maintenance.
  • Perform stress and load testing processes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Go development experience.
  • 2+ years of AdTech experience.
  • Familiarity with large scale application development with high concurrent usage..
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
This is a fully remote position that can be located anywhere in the US or Canada.
